Tjuan Dogan

Dr. Tjuan Dogan is a philanthropic and social impact strategist dedicated to increasing educational access and opportunity. With more than two decades of experience driving global initiatives focused on societal change and corporate responsibility, she recently served as Global Director of Social Impact at Coursera, a leading online learning platform and certified B Corp.

She has held leadership positions in philanthropy and corporate responsibility at IBM, the Arthur Blank Family Foundation, Emory University, and the Southern Education Foundation. A sought-after speaker and thought leader, she has received numerous awards and recognitions including the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Leaders in Corporate Citizenship Award, which honors individuals who have demonstrated servant leadership and a strong commitment to corporate responsibility and community impact; and Emory University’s Staff Sustainability Innovator Award, which she received while serving as Assistant Vice President for Social Impact Innovation.

Dogan serves as a proud board member of Science ATL, mentor with the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, community committee member with the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

A native of Greenville, South Carolina (SC), Dogan earned her BA in journalism, MEd and PhD in education, with a concentration in business management, from the University of South Carolina, followed by a yearlong fellowship at Harvard Business School. A dedicated lifelong learner, she recently completed a Master of Religion and Public Life at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, where her research focused on the intersections of faith, philanthropy and social justice. She is a super fan of SC Gamecocks women’s basketball, enjoys live theater, golf, patio gardening, traveling, and making stained glass art.
