MaShon Wilson is the founder/CEO of Rising Phoenix Education, an AI-powered EdTech platform democratizing college admissions for underrepresented students and a former Global Business Strategy and Operations Lead at Google. With 16+ years as a West Point Diversity Admissions Officer and Duke alumni interviewer, he's witnessed firsthand the systemic barriers facing Black learners. His cross-sector experience spans military service as an Army paratrooper and Afghanistan combat veteran, education consulting at EY-Parthenon advising on equity strategies, and thought leadership with Harvard Business School. Through Rising Phoenix's gamified platform serving 52 students with interest from 7 institutions, he's building a four-sided marketplace connecting students, counselors, admissions teams, and employers.
MaShon holds an MBA from Duke University and a BS from West Point. As a strategic advisor for TruFiktion and active Alpha Phi Alpha member, he's committed to ensuring zip code no longer determines destiny for Black learners navigating education-to-career pathways.
