LaShon Ormond

LaShon Ormond serves as the Chief Impact Officer at Amplify, where she is instrumental in shaping and leading the organization's impact strategy. In her role, LaShon oversees key functions such as Innovation and Inclusion, Customer Transformation, Strategic Initiatives, Tutoring, and Customer Insights. Her leadership is pivotal in focusing Amplify’s efforts on enhancing student learning outcomes and empowering educators by streamlining their processes, saving time, and providing deeper insights into student needs.


Before her current role, LaShon excelled as the Senior Vice President & General Manager of K-12 Humanities at Amplify. Her tenure was marked by her dedication to forging strategic partnerships and executing comprehensive project and program management tailored for K-12 clients. LaShon led a dynamic team that worked closely with educational institutions to align Amplify’s services with their instructional goals. Her strategic vision and leadership were key in the successful implementations of Amplify's initiatives in Los Angeles Unified School District, Chicago Public Schools, and the expansion of Amplify Science within the KIPP Charter Schools.


LaShon's career reflects a commitment to educational excellence and an ability to drive large-scale educational initiatives. Her previous experiences in curriculum development, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional team leadership have reinforced her understanding of educational best practices and improved Amplify’s presence in major school districts across the nation. LaShon Ormond's impactful career in education continues to highlight her dedication to fostering learning environments that are inclusive, empowering, and aligned with the future of educational innovation. Her expertise and commitment to educational equity and strategic alignment have resulted in significant contributions to the field, positioning her as a transformative leader in education.


Outside of her professional responsibilities, LaShon is an avid volunteer with numerous agencies that support youth and women in STEM, education access, and community outreach. She also owns a bookstore and collaborates with South African illustrator Frank Lunar to create engaging and educational children’s books, reflecting her passion for education and storytelling. LaShon has earned a BS in English and a Master of Education. She is the proud mother of one daughter, Jasmyne.
